Bath Spa

Been to Bath today. Very interesting to learn about the spring and the Roman baths, but there were a couple of problems:

1 - They give you electronic "tour guide" things that give you information about the various things as you look around (including some interesting bits by Bill Bryson), but they look like massive 80s mobile phones, which makes everyone there look like disinterested yuppies.

- At the end, you get to drink some of the water from the hot spring - it's warm, salty and thoroughly unpleasant. There were some of the staff standing near the drinking fountain, which raised the age old question - spit, or swallow?

All in all, an interesting place to visit, but thanks to the last bit, the Bath Spa experience leaves a bitter taste in the mouth. Bring gum :)
